World Horizons USA has had a presence in Richmond, Virginia since the 1990s. Over the years we have seen many people sent out to the nations. At various times our focus has been on developing work in France, Turkey and the Middle East, although team members serve in many more places than these.

Our focus has been on prayerfully and strategically developing new initiatives in partnership with other expressions of World Horizons around the globe. Our Richmond team serves in four main ways: The administrative and pastoral support of our team members around the world; advocacy, education, and promotion toward opportunities to serve in the nations; and local outreach to refugees and migrants.

We have two significant recruitment and training opportunities that we are currently promoting: Let's Go Training 2024, a three month mobile training in Southeast Asia, and our Asia Minor Training 2024, a life changing three month program in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Join Our Teams in North America

Most of our work falls into one or multiple categories of our Ethos and happens primarily outside of the USA. Our team in the United States receives those that want to join their team on a long-term placement. Prior to going to the field, new team members must complete one of our long-term training programs. Once on the field, they generally spend their first two years focused on language learning while engaging in ministries established by the long-term team. Whichever country new members join, they will focus from the beginning on encouraging local Christians and getting to know non-Christians through the team’s ministries.
