Yurts are the traditional homes of the nomadic Mongolian peoples of Central Asia.
The Mary and Martha ministry in Mongolia is a Business as Mission and Social Enterprise. It focuses primarily on the supply of hand-crafted gifts sourcing material from across Mongolia. It serves as a bridge for many local craftsmen to sell in the capital city and overseas. It has World Fair Trade Registration with the WFTO.
Martha and Mary works with about 150 ethnic Mongolians and Kazaks and aims to be salt and light through business and community interaction. The business provides the team with a wide range of contacts to whom they are to be a witness. This wide variety of stakeholders includes foreign and Mongolian customers, artisans from different faith backgrounds, landlords, tax and other government officials, hotels, and tour groups.
